Our Story

This work has always been about more than design. Visual Sugar Creative lives at the intersection of food, culture, community, and brand strategy. What began as a broad creative practice has intentionally evolved into a focused studio serving CPG food and beverage brands that care deeply about what they’re building and why it matters.

In 2023, my husband and I sold our home and belongings in Atlanta and converted a school bus into an RV so we could travel the United States. For nearly two years, we lived on the road, fully immersing ourselves in local communities, cultures, and food systems while building genuine connections along the way. During that time, I quit my 9 to 5 and built Visual Sugar Creative from the road. In 2025, we chose to put roots down in Middle Tennessee to live our values more fully by starting a homestead and growing our own food. Clean, intentional food has always been part of my life, and eventually it became clear that it belonged at the center of my work, too.

I’ve spent 17 years in the design industry, working in agencies and in-house corporate roles. While I loved the craft, something was always missing. When I left my corporate role, I knew I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself. I wanted to support female founders who are doing good in the world and creating products that actually serve people. I reached a point where I no longer wanted to be part of the problem, promoting foods and brands that contribute to harm. Visual Sugar Creative is where my experience, values, and love for food finally aligned.

Our mission

Visual Sugar Creative exists to help food and beverage brands build with intention, responsibility, and heart. Our mission is rooted in community and culture, because food is one of the most powerful connectors we have. It carries stories, traditions, shared rituals, and values, and the brands behind it shape how people relate to what they consume and to one another.

We believe the strongest CPG brands are culture-driven, not trend-driven. They understand where they come from, who they serve, and the communities they impact. With 17 years of industry experience, a degree in business and marketing, a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and a degree in User Experience, we bring both creative depth and strategic clarity to every project. Our work blends systems-level thinking with human-centered design, supporting female-led brands that value connection over clout, transparency over tactics, and long-term trust over quick growth. Everything we create is designed to strengthen community, reflect shared values, and contribute positively to the culture surrounding food.

Our commitment

We are committed to doing work that feels honest, thoughtful, and grounded in real people and real culture. We approach every brand with care for its community, respect for the food it brings into the world, and intention behind every design decision. Our goal is to contribute work that supports clarity, connection, and long-term value, without shortcuts, trends
